Lesson:
Human Body
Proportions
for a Man
Learn how to draw people in scale using the head for measurements. This helps figure drawing to look more realistic.
The human body is seven and a half heads in length. Use the head in scaling the body for correct proportions.
A man's shoulders are across in length by two heads. A man's hips are one and a half heads across in length. The foot is one head in length.
A woman's body has slightly
different measurements for the shoulders and hips.
The differences are shown in the drawing tutorial for Drawing Woman.
