Human Body
Proportions
for a Woman
Learn how to draw people in scale using the head for measurements. This helps figure drawing to look more realistic.
The human body is seven and a half heads in length. Use the head in scaling the body for correct proportions.
A woman's shoulders are across in length by one and a half heads. A woman's hips are one and a half to two heads across in length. The foot is one head in length.
A man's body has wider shoulders and narrower hips than a woman. The differences are shown in the drawing tutorial for Drawing Man.
