How
to Draw
a Cat
Art
Lesson:
Cat Drawing
Sketch
loose guidelines for the outline of the cat's body and head with a soft
lead pencil like a #2B found in art stores.

More details are added to the cat. Use guidelines to mark the location of the cat's eyes, nose and mouth.

Lightly
sketch the cat's face. The cat's tail, legs and feet are taking shape.

The
final lines for the drawing should be loose and rough to
indicate
the cat's fur. This outline should be darker than the guides. The guidelines can
be erased.

Fun Art Project
Create a T-shirt with the cat drawing. Buy HP Iron-on Transfers (12 transfer sheets, 8.5 x 11-inch) for white cotton T-shirts if you have an inkjet printer.
