Art
Lesson:
Car Drawing
Sketch the outlines and guidelines of the automobile. Keep the lines light.
Draw the larger sections of
the car first like the outside of its body and wheels.
Slowly add more details. Create the windows and doors. Concentrate on one section at a time.
Cars have many straight lines, curves and circles in its form. These can be difficult to draw freehand.
Various templates can be used to draw accurate lines. Curves are drawn with a french curve template. There are circle and elliptical templates, also. Transparent plastic ones are best for drawing.
A wide range of templates and rulers can be found in any art store.
Draw dark pencil lines to trace over the lighter outlines for the final sketch.
Templates can be used at this time for the final drawing if they haven't been used previously. Or sketch completely in freehand for a looser feel to your drawing.
Previous guidelines and
outlines are erased. Shading can be added.
